The founder of our spa is a woman who is passionate about massage. Whenever she traveled to Bali in the past, she indulged in massages at various locations and revisited her favorite massage shops. However, she noticed that the skills of therapists varied, even within the same establishment. Despite her attempts to relax with a massage during her visits, she often left feeling dissatisfied rather than content.

Here are the specific disappointments she encountered at Bali massage shops:

• Therapists lacked focus on clients and engaged in conversations among themselves.
• Hygiene standards were inadequate, leading to unpleasant odors due to reused towels and face towels.
• Therapists’ skills varied greatly, so she often encountered substandard therapists even at the same massage shop.
• She felt disheartened by receptionists or therapists who were brusque or unfriendly.
• Massage rooms were cramped and not well ventilated, or privacy was violated because they were divided by curtains.
• While hotel spas provided satisfying experiences, they were too expensive, whereas street massage shops, although cheaper, lacked cleanliness.

She visited many massage shops that lived up to expectations, but she was disappointed next time or when she visited a year or two later.
Eventually, she decided to open her own massage shop and is still working hard to create a shop that will give customers as much satisfaction as possible when they visit.
